Chamaeleon Nails
We have still not received the final portion of our Chamaeleon Nails order. I have been told that it will ship this week. When it does, we will be able to ship the back orders and held orders that are waiting on these shades.

Starrily Liminal Dreams Collection
Our shipment from Starrily has experienced numerous delays - the latest one being CBSA. The shipment got pulled in for inspection and was stuck in customs for around 2 weeks. We have received a portion of our shipment, but not enough to complete the pre-orders. We are hoping that the remainder will get delivered soon.

Cadillacquer Eerie Glow Collection
Our inbound Cadillacquer shipment is currently stuck in Canadian customs. From what we understand, it is due to processing volume created by the additional paperwork because of the changes to US import rules. It doesn't seem to have been pulled in for formal inspection. Unfortunately, we just have to wait for it to clear, which hopefully won't be too much longer.

Lacquer Drop
We are currently processing Lacquer Drop orders. Unfortunately, our ANLAC and Bedford & Grove shipments are delayed because of the Canada Post strike. In recent days, we have learned that the full strike is pivoting to a rotating strike, which will allow mail to start moving again. We anticipate delays with receiving these polishes as Canada Post staff work through clearing the backlog of mail while also operating under strike conditions. Hopefully we will receive those shades soon and will be able to get all Lacquer Drop orders shipped. We will not be using Canada Post to fulfil any orders until their operations return to normal.

Canada Post Strike, US Orders & Customs Delays
Unfortunately, the Canada Post strike has a knock on effect to all other carriers. Pickups and deliveries are being delayed because the other shipping carriers are taking on additional volume.

I'm still actively trying to get a clear answer on US fees. The tariffs are one thing (being a stockist, each brand has a different country of origin which will result in different rates), but with every shipment entering the US now needing to be processed as a formal entry, it's the additional fees that we're trying to figure out. There are brokerage fees, admin fees, US processing fees, miscellaneous other whatever fees, etc. etc. Also, with nail polish being a cosmetic item, there are reports of an FDA fee of $100+. We're not clear on this and are still trying to obtain more information.

Right now, I’m holding all U.S. orders until I can give you a clear and accurate breakdown of the customs charges, brokerage fees, potential FDA fees, etc. before your package is sent. My goal is to protect you from surprise costs at delivery or an unexpected invoice in the mail after delivery (or both - there are reports of fees being paid prior to delivery and a second bill showing up weeks after delivery). Ultimately, I am trying to find the best solution to minimize the cost for you.

I’ll be sending updates as soon as I know more. If you’d prefer a refund or a change to your order in the meantime, please send an email *with your order number in the subject line* to orders@nailstuff.co and I’ll take care of it right away.

Thank you so much for your patience and understanding while I navigate around these multiple curveballs. I am grateful for you.

Take care,
Victoria xo
