About ANLAC
ANLAC is the polish line of a Vancouver maker who also trades as Awesome Nail Polish. Her formulas are 10-free, vegan and cruelty-free, and they skew toward effects that reward good light: magnetic shimmer that pulls into a cat eye stripe, thermals that shift with temperature, flakies that flash a second colour at an angle, and reflective glitter that lights up under a camera flash.
Shades that start as photographs
ANLAC works from her own reference photos, and she names the place in the release notes. British Columbia shows up constantly: the water, the rain, the gardens, the mountain corridor north of the city. It means the palette runs cool and atmospheric more often than bright and poppy, and the shades tend to read as a mood rather than just a colour.
How Lacquer Drop works
Lacquer Drop is our limited seasonal release. Each round has a theme, and a handful of Canadian indie makers each contribute one exclusive shade to it. ANLAC is one of those makers. Once a drop closes, those shades are gone. We do not carry her main line, only the shades she makes for us.
